Biography: James was born in London in 1953 moving to the Hertfordshire countryside in 1961. A self taught artist he chose a two year course at college studying Art & Graphic Design. Working for a commercial print company as an artist for ten years before deciding to go freelance. During his career he has had exhibitions in & around London as well as work published in local & national magazine and many book illustrations.

Having developed many styles & skills using different media James artwork has been used in many promotional works & book illustrations including detailed historic buildings, cartoons & of course birds.

James's interest in birds have taken him on research trips to many parts of the world & is currently living in Spain producing work inspired by the architecture, landscape & the way of life in Andalucia.
